What makes a good word
- One line can hint at it. A cat or a volcano works, and a feeling does not.
- Everyone in the group knows it, so an everyday thing beats a rare one.
- It has look alikes in its category, as lion has tiger, so one line can hint without giving it away.
- It stays friendly: nothing religious, political or sexual.

How to play on paper
- One player sits out to run the game. They pick a word, write it on a card for each player, and leave one card blank.
- Deal the cards face down and say the category out loud. Whoever gets the blank card is the imposter.
- Take turns adding one line to the same drawing, two laps around the group, each player in their own colour.
- Point at the imposter together. If the group is right, the imposter gets one guess at the word.
Online, Imposter Draw deals the cards, so nobody has to sit out. See how to play it with 3 to 8 friends.
